Book Description:
Rao outlines a Hindu astrological system popularized by Maharshi Parasara. In it, the 30 degrees of each astrological sign is divided into 1, 2, 3, ..., 60, and 150 pieces, each having a specific purpose in delineating a chart. Extensive tables make calculations unnecessary. For example, marital and sex life is examined in a 9 part division. Parents, longevity, and present and past lives are explored in a 12 part division. The writing is clear and the techniques for delineation well-explained. This approach to astrology gets very specific and focussed. Rao is a disciple of B. V. Raman, the "living encyclopedia of Hindu astrology", and is a spiritual follower of the Ramakrishna lineage. He is currently translating all of Dr. Raman's works from English to Telegu. Three of these books are on the market already. He is a regular contributor to Indian astrological journals.
